Deta.e’s brand new eDock2 EV Charge Points have made their debut at the new Linmere Residential development, where residents and operators can now take smart control of their EV charging. We have also provided the eVoom XL Charge Points as the perfect solution to handle communal charging requirements of on site. This unit has a reputation for reliability and superb functionality and is suitable for both three phase and single phase installations in communal areas.
The Linmere development, led by master developers Land Improvement Holding (LIH), is a newly designed new community north of Houghton Regis combining modern living with a strong connection to nature and wellbeing. The latest phase of the development is being delivered by Stonebond in partnership with bpha. Through this partnership new residents will be able to enjoy a selection of houses and apartments delivered to a high specification under the master development design code.
Designed with wellbeing and sustainability at its core, Linmere offers a model for community-focused living that balances convenience, nature and quality of life.
To support Linmere’s sustainability ambitions, Deta.e supplied eDock2 and eVoomXL EV charge points, delivering a safe, smart and future-ready charging infrastructure for residents.
Each eDock2 and eVoomXL unit provides up to 7.4kW AC output and includes Dynamic Load Management, integrated earth fault protection (30mA AC & 6mA DC), and built-in PEN fault protection — ensuring safe and efficient operation without the need for additional earth rods. The eDock2 also has dynamic load balancing management to ensure DNO fuses are not overloaded.
Working collaboratively with Stonebond, Deta.e supported the design and implementation of EV charging provision for both individual dwellings and shared parking areas. The ElecQ User App enables homeowners to manage charging remotely, schedule off-peak sessions, and monitor real-time energy use, aligning perfectly with Linmere’s emphasis on convenience, technology and environmental responsibility.
Ease of installation and reliability were key factors in Deta.e’s selection for this project. The compact and weatherproof eDock2 design, combined with a simple mounting base, allowed for rapid installation and consistent quality across all homes. The eVoomXL comes pre-fitted with 1.5mtrs of cable to aid the installation process for the communal charging areas.
To ensure smooth project delivery, Deta.e:
These proactive measures ensured that EV charging infrastructure was installed efficiently, aligning with Linmere’s construction timelines and sustainability targets.
